Apple Vision Pro is barely a month old, and is just now getting its first big software update after a couple of minor bugfix releases. With visionOS 1.1 you get a more polished experience, with fewer bugs, some obvious tweaks like the ability to remove system apps from the Home View, and improved Personas.
There are lots of bug fixes and security updates in this release, and a good helping of tweaks to developer frameworks and APIs.

What’s new in visionOS 1.1
MDM (Mobile Device Management): Businesses will find it easier to manage workplace users with support for account-driven enrollment, app installation, Managed Apple IDs, network configurations, single sign-on, support for Exchange and Google Workspace, and more.
Reset device: If you forget your Vision Pro passcode, you need to take it to an Apple Store for them to reset the device. has discovered code to suggest that users will be able to reset their device after multiple failed password attempts. Activation Lock is still active, meaning it can only be set up again with the Apple ID and password used before. This feature appeared in the visionOS 1.1 beta first, but was then included in the general release of visionOS 1.0.3.
App placement: Developers can make apps that allow users to position volumetric scenes and objects closer to the user, according to Apple’s .
iMessage Contact Key Verification: This release adds support for iMessage Contact Key Verification.
Personas update: After installing visionOS 1.1, users will be asked to re-capture their Persona, which will use the latest version of the technology for a somewhat improved image.

How to update to visionOS 1.1
Go to Settings > General > Software Update.
If an update is available, tap Download and Install or Install Now. You might need to enter your Apple Vision Pro passcode.
When the update is ready to install, an alert asks you to take off your Apple Vision Pro. You can see the progress of the update on the front of your device with EyeSight.
